The Walter Damrosch Award
Named for the famed Conductor, Composer, MCNY President (1913-1920) and
MCNY President Emeritus (1921-1950), Walter Damrosch.
Named in honor of the composer-conductor Walter Damrosch, a giant champion of music in New York, who served as President of the Musicians Club of New York in its formative years and as President Emeritus until his death, the Walter Damrosch Award is bestowed upon artistic luminaries who have fostered great music through their extraordinary talents and dedication to music.
