Mezzo-soprano Leslie Middlebrook has appeared in opera, oratorio and concert throughout Europe and the US from Carnegie Hall in New York to San Francisco. Engagements have ranged from Amneris in Aida, all the mezzo roles in Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Mrs. Sedley in Peter Grimes to La Principessa in Suor Angelica. She has sung with Virginia Opera, New Jersey Verismo, Wagner Festival Orchestra, Light Opera of NY and Bremen Opera, Germany, among many others. She sang the world premiere of Margarita Zelenaia's Mother’s Lamentations for mezzo and stringed orchestra which was televised internationally. Recent seasons saw her in the Off Broadway run of Haim Elisha's new opera, A Certain Quiet  as Romana, in Dido and Aeneas with Transfiguration Orchestra, as the Princess in the US premiere of Dargomyzhksy’s  Rusalka  (L. Lehrman’s English translation) and in five new short operas presented at the National Opera Center, which included Mira Spektor’s Casino.
